Before you book

How do I hire the hall?+

Email the booking officer at bournheathvillage@yahoo.co.uk. Bookings are arranged by email only so we can check the diary and send you the details.

Can I visit before I book?+

Yes. Email us and a committee member will be happy to show you around.

Can I have a bouncy castle?+

Small bouncy castles are welcome. The ceiling is 2.7 metres, so tell the hire company the height. They will know what fits.

Are tables and chairs included?+

Yes. Tables and chairs are part of the hire fee.

Is there wi-fi?+

Not at present. Some hirers use a phone hotspot if they need the internet.

Can I hire the play area next door?+

The recreation ground and children's play area are owned by Bromsgrove District Council and are public space. You are welcome to use them, but other people may be there too.

Do you have a sound system?+

No. Please bring your own equipment. It may need to be PAT tested.

How do I leave the hall?+

Brushes, dustpan, vacuum cleaners, spray and wipes are provided. Please do not wet-mop the main floor, take your rubbish (there is a general waste bin behind the wooden fence; we do not have recycling), and leave the hall ready for the next hirer. Turn every heater back to the frost setting.

How do the lights, heating and cooker work?+

A committee member will show you when you collect the key. There is a heater diagram on the wall in the main hall.

What if something breaks or looks unsafe?+

Tell the person who collects the key, or email us as soon as you can.
